Good Morning, Sunshine

I'm settled in at the kitchen table this morning, on my fourth (fifth?) cup of coffee. Mom's out shopping. She said something last night about Hobby Lobby (her home away from home) and getting more curtain panels for the "nook" windows.

Oh joy. I thought we were DONE with the window treatments. Apparently not.

I'm exhausted. I should head back upstairs for a shower and a nap. At some point today I need to pay a few bills, pick up some Rx refills, and perhaps, get some fajitas for lunch.

Right now I'm planning on staying in Houston another week. After that unpleasant visit to Baton Rouge (600 miles roundtrip), I'm in no mood to get in the car this weekend and drive 1000 miles to Lexington. There's no real need for me to get back on any certain day, although my mailbox must be stuffed and I would like to see if my apartment is still in one piece. I always get that irrational fear that there was a big fire or some major vandalization and no one bothered to let me know, even though I gave them my contact numbers.

Well, at least I have renter's insurance.

Oh, remember all the work I had done on my car at the Mazda dealership before I left for Baton Rouge? It's a good thing we drove my car, because the A/C started going out the second or third day we were there. They said they charged it and put in dye to check for leaks, and there were none. UH HUH. Fuckers. So now I'm going to have to take my car back in, get them to rediagnose it (AT NO CHARGE) and go from there. I wasn't real pleased with this place, so I may just get any required repairs done at the dealership in Lexington. I dunno. I don't wanna think about it right now.

Mom just got back and I need to get the dogs outside so she can bring in the groceries. I wonder what nibs she has procured? I reckon I'll need to eat, then shower, then nap. Tough life, huh? *smirk*
