I'm sorry to hear about your dad - it's pretty scary watching a parent go through this - been there and don't ever wanna do it again. Good luck with everything. You and your mom sound like you have a good support system.

I wish only the best for your dad and you know I'm thinking about you during this time. There's no feeling in the world that compares to sitting in the hospital with a loved one in ICE (been there, done that again and again and again) so my thoughts are with you. Isn't it weird that this all happened AFTER you quit your job and AFTER you were visiting your mom in Houston when you were only a few hours away? There is some puppetmaster up there who knows what he's doing. If only he held the strings more often than the morons that usually control the puppets.
