Dazzle Me With Your Brilliance!

Woohoo! You almost had me at the beginning - where I thought you had given up on SL. LOL! Get that baby revved up and going. If you build a corn field, I'll give you $25L to visit, but only if you make it into a maze. They do do that with corn fields don't they? ;-) And good choice to go with the bigger screen. Man oh man - I'm using a laptop with a 17 incher, and I'm going blind.

Yeah, gaming systems are way too expensive, and aren't necessary for the "casual" gamer. (I play World of Warcraft. Yes, I'm a fucking dork. Shuttup.) I just got a 17" flatscreen at x-mas.. I wanted a bigger one, but this was a present from the dad, so one does not bitch about free shit. I have DSL, and it's been pretty damn reliable...more so than everyone I know with cable, anyway. (I've had it for at least 7 years, and other than a small issue with transferring the service when I moved, which was partly my own fault), I've never had any connection issues.

Oh yeah. You don't have to have the CD to make the DSL work. I couldn't find mine when I got my new puter, so I just plugged the shit in and it worked anyway. Actually, I liked it better with no stupid CD...if it's Yahoo DSL, the CD is just some idiot Yahoo browser shit that sucks. :)

I am green with envy! Green, I tell you! With little purple spots.... I should probably get that looked at.... Anywho, congrats on the new system and saving loads of dough!

I talked AOL into charging me $7.95/mo. and TimeWarner into charging me $100 (more or less) for unlimited local/long-distance digital phone + cable telly w/HBO + HDTV + high-speed cable internet (shhhh... they are billing it as "internet lite" which is supposed to be equivalent to dial-up -- only it's high-speed. If only this power of evil could extend into relationships, jobs, and winning lottery tickets, I'd be set for life.

PLEASE tell me that 2GB hard drive was a typo? That's scarcely enough room for an operating system... Now about this Second Life thing...I used to be a professional computer dork, and somehow, prior to reading about it on here, I'd never heard of it. On the other hand, I'm completely the anti-gaming type, as well as (mostly) gay and a resident of New York City, where I'm much too busy doing things like "work" and having First Life sex (yeah, yeah, I'll get back to writing about that one of these days). ;-) Glad you got back from Texas safely. Ratchet back on that spending, though, babe, or you'll have The Man standing on your neck again in no time (I speak from experience here).
